Keanu “The Sniper” Koopman, a promising South African welterweight boxer from Primrose, Gauteng, began his professional career in June 2022. As of December 2024, he holds a record of 7 wins (5 by knockout) and 1 loss.

In his debut year, Koopman secured victories against opponents such as Bongani Ngqubuka and Caiphas Manale. However, in September 2023, he faced a setback with a second-round TKO loss to Odieu Dzabatou.

Demonstrating resilience, he rebounded with consecutive wins, including a unanimous decision over Zimbabwe’s Lancelot Moyo in August 2024.

On December 6, 2024, Koopman achieved a significant milestone by defeating Bonke Duku to claim the vacant South African welterweight title.

Shervantaigh Koopman, born on May 16, 1994, in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, is an undefeated professional boxer competing in the super welterweight division. As of December 2024, he holds a perfect record of 15 wins, with 10 victories coming by way of knockout.

Koopman made his professional debut on May 31, 2018, securing a victory over Phelelani Buthelezi. He quickly rose through the ranks, capturing the South African junior middleweight title on September 25, 2021, with a seventh-round stoppage of defending champion Simon Dladla.

In 2023, Koopman continued his ascent by defeating Cristiano Ndombassy via unanimous decision on November 25.

He further solidified his status by winning the vacant WBA Intercontinental junior-middleweight title on October 26, 2024, with a fifth-round stoppage of Canadian Brandon Cook. Despite being knocked down twice in the first round, Koopman showcased resilience and power to secure the victory.
